Traveling to Bratislava
Bratislava can be easily reached by plane or train from many European destinations.
Participants travelling by air may arrive at Bratislava Airport (BTS) or Vienna International Airport (VIE), which is located approximately 60 km from Bratislava and offers bus connections to the city, with a travel time of about one hour.
From Bratislava Airport, the conference venue can be reached by taking bus no. 61 to Trnavské mýto, followed by tram no. 9 to Botanická záhrada. Information on schedules and tickets can be found

Participants arriving at Vienna International Airport can use frequent
bus connections to Bratislava. Buses stop at several locations throughout the city; Most SNP is the closest stop to the conference venue. From there, tram no. 4 provides a direct connection to Botanická záhrada, from where the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics can be reached on foot in approximately 7 minutes.
Bratislava is also well connected by rail. From Bratislava Main Railway Station (Hlavná stanica), the conference venue can be reached by taking bus no. 32 to Botanická záhrada.
Accommodation in Bratislava
Participants of the DISCRETE 2026 conference are invited to arrange their accommodation individually. However, special rates are available at the following hotels.
Hotel **** Sorea Regia
The hotel is located on Bratislava Castle Hill, near the Danube River. The conference venue is approximately a 25-minute walk away or can be reached by tram in two stops. A special rate for DISCRETE 2026 participants is available when booking via the following
link (78/84 EUR per night for a standard single/double room and 98/108 EUR per night for a deluxe single/double room).
Hotel Saffron ****
A special rate (79 EUR per night for a single room and 94 EUR per night for a double room) is available when booking by email at rezervacia@hotelsaffron.sk and mentioning the DISCRETE 2026 conference.
Hotel Družba
This hotel is located in the same building as the Družba Student Residence of Comenius University. Since 2025, its capacity has been limited to 10 hotel rooms (33 EUR per night), all of which have been reserved for DISCRETE 2026 participants. To book a room, please contact us at discrete2026@fmph.uniba.sk. Hotel Družba is now fully booked.
The above rates do not include the local accommodation tax of EUR 3.00 per person per night.
